“Gold Medals aren’t made of gold. They are made of sweat, determination, and a hard-to-find alloy called guts” – Dane Gable. With the true determination to achieve the best the college teams in Cricket, Football, Basketball, and other games also have been participating in all the sports tournaments in GNIOT – Institute of Professional Studies. The club has been made by the GIPS Director and her team for finding and nurturing the shining stars in sports-related activities on the campus. The main objective of the sports club is to provide an opportunity for all students to take part in some of the games like Carom, Chess, Cricket, Basket Ball, Badminton, etc. The college team takes part in intercollegiate competitions but the other students can have a platform to demonstrate their talents through this club.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CLUB:

The club aims to develop the following abilities:

  1. To provide students, faculty, and staff the opportunity for instruction and participation in a wide variety of sports.
  2. To develop leadership skills by providing opportunities for students to organize, administer, and manage through individual clubs.
  3. To contribute to an avenue for camaraderie and to develop a sense of belonging among individuals in the shared pursuit of sport.

OUTCOME OF THE CLUB:

By joining a sports club, children would not only exercise regularly, be healthier, and more self-confident, but also meet new friends and acquire social skills to cope better with everyday life and become “good citizens”.
